Review

This was my first Stacey Marie Brown novel. I was a little skeptical about reading a contemporary romance since it isn’t really my go-to genre and I was afraid I had set myself up to force myself into reading something I wasn’t going to enjoy. However, that WAS NOT the case!

I really liked this book! It was well written and the main characters were complex and intriguing. The romance was a roller coaster ride and VERY steamy. I was reading it on my kindle in court (at my job) and kept looking around to make sure one of my colleagues wasn’t reading over my shoulder. If they had been I would have told them to immediately buy it so we can read it together and gush about how amazingly sexy Rhys is. Powerful, volatile snowboarder with a very impressive “member”. I have hardly thought of much else since starting this book.

Hannah and Rhys both have had a tough past and have dark shadows corrupting every waking moment. They are content to live numb, half existences and forever seek distractions, until they meet one fateful moment. It really seems like a cruel sense of fate, since Hannah has a secret she keeps hidden for a lot of the book. Her secret causes her to fight her undeniable attraction to Rhys and run at every turn. Can she face her past and reveal her secret to Rhys, even if she knows it will make him hate her forever?

Captivating, great read! It comes out tomorrow, make sure to get your copy!
